Since 1940, the state has voted for the Republican presidential nominee in every election except for 1964 and 2008. And former President Donald Trump is virtually assured of winning the state this November, as he also did in 2016 and 2020. But an interesting thing happened on Tuesday: Trump won the GOP presidential primary, but former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley still won over 20 percent of the vote, despite her March exit from the race. With nearly all precincts reporting their results, Trump earned 461,663 votes (78.3 percent) to Haley's 128,168 votes (21.7 percent). But many suburban voters are also concerned about issues like the preservation of democracy, abortion rights, and environmental policy, which all strongly favor Biden.

United Airlines is planning to launch flights to Marrakesh, Morocco, and Medellin, Colombia, and ramp up its service to Asia, in the carrier's latest bet that consumers will continue to shell out for trips abroad. The flights from United's Newark, New Jersey, hub to Marrakesh are scheduled to begin Oct. 24 using a Boeing 767-300ER. The airline is also starting year-round service to Cebu, Philippines, from Tokyo's Narita Airport. U.S. airlines have increased their international service coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic, and revenue growth from trips abroad has outpaced domestic sales. United also said it will offer four weekly flights between Shanghai and Los Angeles starting Aug. 29.

Shein has denied using forced labor and that it was planning to go public in the U.S. this year. United Airlines on Tuesday mapped out another expansion of Asia flights in the coming months, part of its push to capitalize on a boom in long-haul international travel that has helped drive airlines back to profitability after the Covid-19 pandemic. International travel bookings surged this year, airline executives have said, as travelers seek long-distance trips they put off during the pandemic amid a web of travel restrictions and concerns about the virus. United announced new flights to New Zealand and Australia in April. Starting Oct. 29, United will fly daily nonstop flights between San Francisco and Manila, becoming the only U.S. airline to offer nonstop service to the Philippine capital from the continental U.S. Quayle said Tokyo flights have been in high demand since Japan lifted travel restrictions earlier this year.

LONDON, June 29 (Reuters) - Britain's accounting watchdog said on Thursday it had fined PwC and KPMG, two of the world's top four auditors, for "serious" failings in their auditing of Eddie Stobart Logistics (ESL) company in 2017 and 2018. PwC was fined 1.9 million pounds ($2.4 million), reduced from 3.5 million pounds due to exceptional cooperation and admissions, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) said in a statement. PwC admitted failings related to property transactions entered into by ESL, audit procedures, and property lease accruals, the watchdog said. The FRC also fined PwC audit partner Philip Storer 51,187 pounds. The FRC said it had fined KPMG 877,500 pounds, reduced from 1.35 million pounds due to admissions.

WASHINGTON — The National Archives and Records Administration on Thursday requested that former presidents and vice presidents "conduct an assessment" to determine if they have any classified materials in their possession. Under the Presidential Records Act, all presidential and vice presidential records - including any classified documents - must be turned over to Archives by the end of their terms. A spokesperson for the Archives declined to comment on the letter, which was sent after classified documents were found at the homes of former Vice Presidents Joe Biden and Mike Pence, as well as an office Biden previously used. United Airlines is planning another big schedule increase for trans-Atlantic travel, in a bet that consumers will continue to shell out for international trips, some of which they had put off for years. Next summer, United says it will fly to 37 cities in Europe, Africa, India and the Middle East, a total it said is more than other U.S. airlines combined. London's Heathrow Airport warned Tuesday that travel demand is "uncertain." It will also offer flights from Washington Dulles International Airport to Berlin on a Boeing 767, starting May 25.
